British fest to host Iran 'Empty View'

Iranian short animation 'Empty View' has been set to go on the silver screen at the 7th edition of the Southampton International Film Festival in the UK.

Directed by Ali Zare-Qanatnowei, the flick is to represent Iran at the British film event.

‘Empty View’ displays a mother’s long expectation for her son to return from the war.

The animation was designed and produced during two years. It combines 2D and 3D animation techniques for the first time in Iranian cinema on such scale.

Founded in 2011, the Southampton International Film Festival is a unique event where all filmmakers and film lovers can be treated like Hollywood Royalty.

The event provides an opportunity for the filmmakers to gather together and exchange ideas.

The 2018 edition of the Southampton International Film Festival is slated for October 17-21, 2018.
